Delicious BBQ! The portion is well served and price is good, super worth it. I wanted to come to this place long time ago and finally made it. It didn't dissapoint, I had high expectations since I heard good things about this place, plus Seth Rogen did a video talking about this Vancouver food gem some time ago, so it's really popular. There is even complementary tea. Staff super fast and friendly. I went on a holiday around 1pm last month (thanksgiving day) and it was not that crowded, I guess I was lucky because I have heard this place is always busy, there was a few line up which ended quickly, I had to wait less than 10 minutes.
HK BBQ Master
About this place
Find HK BBQ Master in Richmond (the area) when you want a kitchen that still feels human. From the door you notice a casual welcome, then an easygoing pace settles in as you sit.
If you only remember three names, make them bbq, plates built for sharing, and the kitchen's daily strengths. Everything else is supporting cast.
Guests tend to linger. That is a feature: conversations stretch, plates get passed, and nobody rushes the check. Weeknights usually run quieter than weekends. The listing address is 4651 Number 3 Rd, Richmond, BC V6X 2C4.
Come for bbq, stay because HK BBQ Master treats Richmond guests like neighbors rather than tickets.
Before you visit, skim recent neighbor notes on the listing and confirm hours on the door. Platefolk keeps this page as a field guide, not a frozen brochure - the best proof is still sitting down for a meal.
What we value here is consistency: a kitchen that repeats its strengths, a room that does not treat guests like tickets, and a HK BBQ Master visit that still feels worth the trip across town. Bring curiosity, order something the staff recommends, and leave a short note afterward so the next diner arrives wiser.

My family and I always get our HK bbq from this spot. Some of us would even argue that it’s better than some of the spots we’ve tried in HK/Macau. We usually order the bbq duck, bbq pork and the roasted pork. Seriously good stuff!
This Cantonese BBQ shop is easily one of the most well-known and high-quality spots in the Vancouver area. Their roasted pork is especially outstanding. I’ve tried several times to buy their poached chicken and soy sauce chicken, but they’re always sold out. So if you need it for an important gathering or plan to pick up takeaway with friends, make sure to order ahead or go early.
ried a Hong Kong-style roast meat shop and ordered the three-meat combo rice. The roast pork was the highlight — crispy, flavorful, and delicious. Paired it with an iced milk tea — absolutely perfect. Don’t forget to bring cash!
Came by here for a quick meal after landing at YVR and heading to Whistler - it was 3 pm and there was a long line outside, unbelievable. Thankfully it moved pretty quickly and were seated after a 20 min wait. Service was prompt and efficient the menu made it easy with numbering. Food arrived soon and it was great quality authentic Cantonese roast dishes. We had roast duck, pork, BBQ and soy chicken, vegetables and soup - all delicious and comparable to what one would find in Asia. Located in a complex with a supermarket upstairs and another across the road. Will return.
Delicious and tender bbq meat. The roasted pork was crispy and yummy! It matches the standard of roasted meats in HK or even better!I came here at 11:20 on a weekday. Half of the restaurant was still empty. By the time, I finished at around 12 noon. It was full and a line was starting to form.Service was very prompt and my food came out in a minute. Cash only.
Ordered the soy chicken, char siu pork, and roasted pork combo over rice. The roasted pork was phenomenal. The soy chicken was tender and flavorful, but watch out for bone fragments. The char siu was good, but I got a pretty lean piece so a little dry. Though the line is long, their system is set up pretty efficiently, with a line for dine-in, take out, and pre-order pickup. When the line gets long, and attendant comes out to take your order in advance, so it's more or less ready by the time you get to the front to pay. Overall, I really like this place.
